Zoom To July Hello August

Wow, I've been so busy with life I haven't had a chance to do much blogging.

I remember when I was a kid I use to think time trickled by and I would never grow up. Well, it is so true, Never say Never! :)

I have Scleraderma which is a skin disorder that causes your skin to tighten to the point of tearing. You then have open sores which are called ulcers. They are very sore.

For the last couple of months my hands have been in poor condition and too sore to sometimes even type. Right now I am only using a couple of fingers to type this message.

I just wanted to let you know why sometimes I take so long to do a new post, and instead of telling you some made up story, I figured it's always better to just tell it like it is.

I hope everyone is creating and having a great time.

It would be really nice to see some of your work.

I have here a bracelet that I made which took forever because I wired each bead to make three strands for this bracelet. The jade horn is a vintage piece which is part of the clasp.

Then I couldn't resist making this pair of cute earrings to add to my collection in my shop.

Since my hands are still to sore to create more jewelry I've headed back to my sewing machine to release my overloaded head of all the ideas that I want to make. :)

Off I go for now and I hope to hear from you soon and see what you have been making.

Have fun.

What Happened to June?

Wow!

I can't believe it's almost July! What the heck happened to June?

It seems that summer has decided to come in slowly, so hopefully that means we'll have a long one, and speaking of long ones this is a long weekend coming upon us.

I guess it will be heading up to the cottage for many families. Dust out the cob webs and freshen it up for all the days they will get to enjoy relaxing and most of all spending time together as a family.

I have been creating, a few jewelry pieces and a couple of sewing projects but just haven't listed anything yet. I've been I guess you could say melancholy.

I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather we've been having, here at least. lol  Depending on your location. I do hope all is well with everyone.

I wanted to update my blog and just mention a bit of what's been going on with me.

Today I've started taking pictures of my completed projects and hopefully get a couple listed this evening. I'm very pleased with my end results and feel the more I make, the more thought and care goes into each and every item.

Please do come back to check my new listings to see if you agree with me and perhaps want to add something new to your summer wardrobe or to brighten up the day of someone else.

I would love to hear back from you, especially to perhaps list an item on my site that you have created.

Well, until next time, have a great long weekend.

I Now Have A Couple Followers!

What a great feeling to have someone following me now because it helps me feel like I'm not talking to myself anymore..:)

I would love to have links to your shops if you have any and would also love to hear what you are up to.

All suggestions and advice is welcome to help me along the way to hopefully increase my followers.  I feel kind of like I'm hijacking people when I do the Saturday blog hop because It seems that some just follows me because I follow them.  I do hope that each and everyone of my followers takes a minute or two to check out my blog and give some feedback on it.

Well I'm gonna go for now because I joined a 30day site for $7.00 trial to learn about Internet Marketing. Something that I have been interested in for the past few years.

Have a great wknd everyone and have fun.

Blog Surfing

Wow! I can't believe how many blogs are out there, and such a variety.

I must say that my blog looks a bit sad compared to the many that are out there, But I am following a few blogs to try and get some guidance and hopefully that will spruce up my blog too.

I am 55 and will be checking out things that I think are good, helpful, and of course beneficial to our health, so hang in there while I learn along the way.

Any comments are welcome and surely advice is welcomed with open arms.

And to go without saying I love to create, design, re-cycle and up-cycle.

A question to anyone who would be nice enough to answer....how do I put in a signature??

Well, gotta go for now to surf through many blogs and maybe I'll find the answer along the way.

Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

Talk soon.

Piles of Trials

What a funny and odd title, right?

The name just popped into my head because I am having so much trouble understanding how to upload items to my blog. I feel like an idiot.

I look at other beautiful blogs and feel, why can't I do that to mine, or, how the heck can I do things like that.

It seems simple enough to try and add a picture right here where I am posting, so I'll try and do that right now and see what happens.

Here goes,
Oh my goodness! I can't believe I actually did it. What must have I been doing wrong in the past?

I am so glad that I gave it another try. I just hope it works as well when I am surfing and looking at some beautiful workmanship that I'd like to add. I'll just add a different view above. Hey pretty good. :)

I hope you have been enjoying your weekend and are getting ready to go and vote tomorrow, if you live in Canada.

Well before I go I wanted to mention that the picture I added is of a pretty lace flower that I made with lace, gold netting and copper wire. You can have a better look here in my shop on Artfire.

I'd love to hear from you and see what you're up to, and I'd be happy to display your work on my blog.

See ya soon,

Sew Sew Sew

I find that because my work area is in such disarray, I just can't get my shit together lately.

Having an organized work area makes all the difference in creating, for me at least.

I have been looking for some new shelves and cupboards so that all my fabric and notions can be organized to the point that everything has it's place.

My mind is just overflowing with ideas that I can't keep up with it and get so overwhelmed that sometimes I just end up wasting time.

Because of this, my production is moving at a slow pace, and since it's only me that is designing and creating moving slow is not a good thing.

I would welcome any ideas or suggestions to get better organized. Even seeing how you have your work area set up might give me some good ideas.

I will be looking at some magazines for ideas too.

Off I go...

Wanted To Show New Listings in My Shop

A pretty flower that can be used in the hair, on a hat, or pinned to a jacket.

Pretty Flower Here.

I am trying to upload the actual picture of the flower but seem to be running into a problem with that, so for now you'll have to click on the above link until I look into my problem and get it fixed. I'm doing something wrong without a doubt. :)

I'll try another one.

Handmade Scarflette Felted Wool and Soft Jersey.

Okay, back to the drawing board. :) In the meantime have a quick look through the links and I'll be back to hopefully add the actually picture for you to see.

Thanks for your patience, and if you have some pictures of your work I'd love to see them. Please send me your pictures or links to check out your work.

Adding The Finishing Touches*

What I've been doing the last couple of days is pull out my stash of projects that I started and then I would get distracted forgetting about the initial project I started.

Even now as I'm doing this entry, I'm thinking of what creation I going to start on. By that I mean what project will I be adding the finishing touches to so I can get it listed in my shop.

I always try to make a few items for the special days of the year which I have no problem with stock if I would just finish what I start and stop getting distracted.

I had made a bunny head out of copper wire almost two Easter's ago and have just finished it to my satisfaction.

Can you believe that?   I just need to take pictures and upload them to the shop. Yeah! I'm staying on track for once.  It turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself.

Once I get it uploaded to the shop, I'll come back and add a link here too.

I still don't have any one following my blog, and I don't know what happened to pictures I had uploaded to this blog.

I do find it hard trying to keep up with my shop, blog and a website that I'm still trying to get started, but I'm not a quitter so I'll just keep on trucking.

I'd love to hear from someone to find out what you are up to and if you are an artisan of some kind.  I'd love to see what you make.  So please do drop a link.

Until next time be well and successful.

New Year New Ideas

Well here I am sitting at my computer and finally posting to my blog. Gee I still have too many things on my plate that I can't keep up with them all. :)

I have been working on my shop as much as I can, but due to some health issues I get set behind and then try to catch up.

I have made a few sales here and there but not near to where I would like.

If I had a car I would go set up at some flea markets because I think that would be fun. You know meeting a large variety of different people in one day.

What I will do this summer is travel around the city and try to get some of my creations into a few stores, maybe on consignment or some kind of deal.

If there is anyone out there that already does something like that I would love to hear from you to learn a few tricks of the trade.

I hope all is going well with you and your creating. I would love to see what you are making, so if you get a chance please drop a line and even better drop a picture.

Well, until next time...be well and successful.
