Zoom To July Hello August

Wow, I've been so busy with life I haven't had a chance to do much blogging.

I remember when I was a kid I use to think time trickled by and I would never grow up. Well, it is so true, Never say Never! :)

I have Scleraderma which is a skin disorder that causes your skin to tighten to the point of tearing. You then have open sores which are called ulcers. They are very sore.

For the last couple of months my hands have been in poor condition and too sore to sometimes even type. Right now I am only using a couple of fingers to type this message.

I just wanted to let you know why sometimes I take so long to do a new post, and instead of telling you some made up story, I figured it's always better to just tell it like it is.

I hope everyone is creating and having a great time.

It would be really nice to see some of your work.

I have here a bracelet that I made which took forever because I wired each bead to make three strands for this bracelet. The jade horn is a vintage piece which is part of the clasp.

Then I couldn't resist making this pair of cute earrings to add to my collection in my shop.

Since my hands are still to sore to create more jewelry I've headed back to my sewing machine to release my overloaded head of all the ideas that I want to make. :)

Off I go for now and I hope to hear from you soon and see what you have been making.

Have fun.

I'm Way Behind How Bout You?

Oh boy, I'm still putting way too many things on my plate as usual.

I've just collected a bunch of awesome 100% wool sweater pieces and have
decided to get back to working on my shop and make some awesome things
like scarfs, pillows, and even a few small felt pals.

What I could really use is more space!

It's getting really cramped in my work area that I'm starting to rip at the seams.
(Pardon the pun)

Tell me... how to You Stay On Track?  What's the secret to Staying Focused?

Sewing Contests **

I've missed a couple of sewing contests that were giving away awesome sewing machines for First place prizes.

That would be pretty cool to win a new machine, or at least try. :)

Has anyone actually entered a sewing contest? and perhaps won something?

I would love to see your winning creation, so if you drop by, how about posting to this comment and posting your entry and prize.

If you know of any contests happening I would appreciate the link.

Have fun creating.

W H A T ???

I've been going crazy lately trying to keep up with all I want to do.

I'm telling ya! Crazy.

There is a contest going on with "Singer" where you can win an awesome sewing machine along with other fine gifts.

What do you have to do to enter???.......Sew something Yourself that You or someone can wear and ENTER.  Cool.

Oh Yeah, the only catch is, You must enter by the end of June AND whatever You made had to have been made in the month of June.  Got it?

Okay then, OOOOooooops!!!  One more thing, You have to sign up to Flickr because that is where You upload your sewing project/projects.

I do have what I am entering, but still am trying to finish one more thing, (I really would Love that sewing machine), so I will get everything uploaded this weekend after I go for a 7a.m. MRI scan on my spine where I have to lay still for almost an hour!  Oh MY!  It's a good thing it's so early in the morning because maybe I'll fall asleep.  Hope I don't snorrrre. :)

Get Sewing.
Have Fun.
Smile at someone today, it feels good all round.

Talk soon.

UPDATE *

Hi

I've decided to focus on my two shops and put my Affiliate Marketing on a back burner for just a bit, so that I can get traffic to my Handmade items, and get my shops better organized.

I really enjoy making things, one of which is sewing, and the other is creating jewelry.

When I'm sewing, I love to re-invent, re-cycle because seeing a new creation born from a skirt, coat, fabric finds, etc., is so exciting.

I don't go shopping with an idea in mind.  I look for special looking fabric, different, even if it already has a life of it's own.  That's when I bring it home and every time I look at it, I wait until the vision is there.

I get so excited once I know what I'm going to make and start in a way as if I have a drawing in front of me. The vision is so clear in my mind.  I do make a couple little changes near completion until I feel iI looks exactly as I pictured in my mind.

The proudest moment is when someone actually purchases one of my designs.

So, for now, my sewing/felting, fabric creations of any kind, will be listed  HERE*  and my jewelry designs will be  here*

I will be putting both shops on one site, and I'm working on that now.

Sorry I have to cut it short, but my computer is starting to act up, and I don't want it to freeze before this posting is saved.

Keep Your creative juices flowing.

Drop a line, I'd Love to hear from You.

Sew What Have You Been Up To?

I have been working so much out in the big world, that I haven't had much time at all to
do any work at home.

I really miss sitting down and getting into my designing. You know, letting your imagination
run free and seeing what actually turns out from it all. :)

My awesome friend Rosie (that's my dog) had a birthday on April 26 and turned 14, so she
does need to be taken outside more frequently, and she is slowing down with having arthritis,
which I can definitely relate to. :)

I decided to stick to sewing, and have stopped creating jewelry for now because I just don't
have time or the money to pursue everything I want to right now.

I have another site on Visual Imaginaries where I have posted just my hand sewing items and
machine sewing.  I do hope you get a chance to check it out. There's a couple of cool Pillows.

I would love to hear from You and See what You have been doing.

Have a Great Weekend, and  Happy Mother's Day  to ALL  MoM's.

POPPING UP ALL OVER.

Hey,
How's your weekend going? Hope all is well with your shop if you have one on the go, and
I just wanted to drop a line to let you know that there is another Great place for Handmade* Artisans.

It's pretty much the same rules that apply to "Artfire" and "Etsy".

You can get a Free account*, or upgrade to a monthly fee for added customization.

Of course I have added a shop here at Zibbet~ because I figure, the more the better. :)
Especially since there is no cost, I'm sure it won't hurt sales.

Well, I've got to get back to my other interest in trying to become a top Affiliate Marketer,
and if by any chance you are also interested in earning an income online, please
check out my other Blog* where I hope my posts can help you save time and* money.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Always* here to help,

How's It Sewing?

Before  I get started with my posting I wanted to mention the video that is
at the bottom of my blog.

I made it at "Animoto" and had a lot of fun making it. I will be putting it at the
bottom of the blog in a week or two so that anyone who might be interested
in creating one of their own, you could use this code   xloygciu

if You decide to upgrade at "Animoto" and You will get a $5.00 discount.
It only costs $30.00 for a year for a long version, or $3.00 each for the long
version if you want to make one while being a FREE member.

Try it. It's fun.

Okay, that's the end of that.  Oh one more thing, if you do make a vid, I'd love
to see it.:)

Is there someone You buy a gift for on Valentine's Day?

I still get a little something for my daughters, even though they are both
adults themselves.

The great thing is, I have a grandson and granddaughter who I Love making
things for. Just watching how happy they are when they get their special gift,
is awesome.

I'm still in the process of uploading the few original designs I've made of
earrings, wool felt brooches, and necklaces that are completed and ready
to be shipped anywhere You want.

Your Valentine purchase will come inside a handmade red fleece drawstring
pouch, with a hand cut heart tag ready for You to write Your special message.

There are two different colours which are red/black, and red/white. I will be
randomly picking one when I am putting together your order.  If you prefer
one in particular, just leave a message in the "comment to seller" when completing
your order.

Here is a sample of the pouch

and

the red and white.

I just love making things, and really feel good when someone chooses to wear something
that I've created, and I hope they can see how each piece is made with care and detail, even
if it's the simplest thing.

If You haven't taken a look at the Many Artisans associated with "ARTFIRE", you don't know
what You're missing.  You should get whatever it is you like to drink and sit down in front of
the computer to check out all the Great things, because I wouldn't know where to start in
describing some of them. :)

If You are into Anything Artsy and have a Blog, I would love to see it so please send me a link
and we can hook up.

Enjoy the rest of Your week.
